About the Role
We are seeking volunteers who want to help animal get adopted while also spreading awareness about Twin Cities Pet Rescue through store adoption events.
Events are typically 2 hours with half an hour added on to the beginning and end for set up/tear down. Our goal is to host events monthly but can be less or more often depending on volunteer availability. During the event, we have adoptable animals and their fosters attend to help get them exposure and socialization. We also sell light merch and will occasionally have our prize wheel set up. Overall, these events tend to be low key and a great way to connect with the community!
Store adoption events leads will be responsible for:
Communicating with stores to schedule events
Comminicating with event volunteers to staff event
Assiting with day of tasks such as set up, tear down, and assisting fosters/volunteers during the event.
Requirements
Live in metro area
Comfortable leading small events with a team of 2-3 people
Capacity to pick up and return event supplies from Maplewood
Ability to communicate through email and Slack
