About the Role

Twin Cities Pet Rescue's is looking for volunteers to help staff our office in Maplewood, MN. We do not house animals onsite so animal interaction is minimal. But tasks include (but are not limited to):

  • Cleaning and organizing donated supplies

  • Inventorying various items

  • Light house keeping such as vacuuming, wiping down tables, etc.

  • Talking with members of the public that stop by

  • Sending thank you notes to community members and donors

Volunteers should be comfortable completing tasks individually and having the capability lift heavier items (such as bags of dog food or dog kennels) is ideal. Office tasks vary from day to day so being able to pivot to new tasks easily is helpful.

Office volunteer schedules are flexible and include a mix of daytime, weeknight, and weekend options.  You pick which hours you come in as long as a lead office volunteer is also available! Ideally office volunteers would not have pet allergies as there are pets that enter the building fairly regularly.

Requirements

Required:

  • Reliable transportation to and from the TCPR Office in Maplewood, MN

  • Ability to work independently

Preferred:

  • Ability to lift and carry items

  • Familiar with computers/tablets and Slack
